Viaduct de Millau is most recognised as a structural achievement, not only is it 2.4km long but the incredible height of 343m also makes it one of the tallest bridges in the world, include the fact that it's in a beautiful rural spot in the south of France and we get a stunning globally famous piece of engineering.
If you're planning a driving trip to the south of France or Spain then stop by "Aire du Viaduc de Millau". This place is accessible from both directions along the A75, it has a visitor centre where you can pick up a gift or two, restaurant, large carpark and two sets of toilets making them acessible from either end of the carpark as well as long caravan parking spaces but be aware that vehicles classed as "3.5t trucks/vans or bigger" are not allowed here so your best option is to find a parking space near "Saint-Germain, Millau, Occitanie, France" or closer if you can and walk to the viaduct if you really want to visit it but it's not a short walk so cycling is a better idea (like I did).
Location: Viaduc de Millau, 12400 Millau, France
Height: 343m
Lenght: 2,460m
